2015 National Coral Reef Management Fellowship Program

Note: The 2015 National Coral Reef Management Fellowship positions are now filled. The program typically runs for a two year cycle and new position announcements will likely be posted at some point in 2017.

The next generation of coral reef managers can once again get hands-on training to prepare them for successful careers through the National Coral Reef Management Fellowship Program. The program will create seven, two-year positions at institutions in the following coral reef states and territories: Florida, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Each position has its own distinct work plan, responding to the specific coral reef management needs of each coral reef jurisdiction. Fellows will work on issues affecting U.S. coral reef ecosystems including climate change, land-based sources of pollution, and fishing. The program will also provide training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements are individuals have a bachelor 's degree in marine sciences, environmental sciences, or a related field, and some professional experience related to their educational history - specifics vary depending on the jurisdiction in question.
